The most fun of all activities: Bowling

I don't mean bowling as a sport. Or even a competitive recreational activity. I mean bowling with my mother, my step-dad, my eleven year old brother and seven year old sister. YAY FAMILY BONDING. Except...not. As much as I love them, half way through the second game and a basket of nachos coated in fake cheese , I just wanted to go home. And so did the rest of us.

Although, while we were there, we did have some valuable family time together that doesn't usually happen with the hustle and bustle of all three of the kids' different activities. It proved to be a funny experience, since we have quite the diverse collection of skill level when it comes to bowling.

My Step-Dad looked something like this:

Getting a strike EVERY TIME.

My mom looks like this:

My brother:

My sister:

and...
Me

Bowling...needless to say, is not my sport.
But, the game is ALWAYS a good time.
It taught me that no matter how awful the time you spend with your family is, a good laugh always comes out of it. It may be at the expense of others, but humans are savages, and bad humor is somehow hysterical to our kind. But, all in all, your family is as close as anyone can get to you. No matter how much you get on each others' nerves, they will be there for you for LIFE, and that's the most important thing of all.
